Dealing with hurt is not so easy sometimes. Especially if the person is gone from this life and they left without telling you goodbye. If their last words were not such joyful words, it is your mind reviewing those words over and over. This morning the thought came to me, what if you asked me to anoint you with love?
God brought to mind a time when I had to ask Him what to do in a situation that was harmful, hurtful and just downright mean. There was a person who was demonic decided to move next door to us. They had made the statement to me and about me that they hated me. It was a totally uncomfortable situation. I pray you never experience such a thing, however, some of you have. If you have not but know someone who has just copy and paste this and send it to them. They need ministry and you are their life line to God right now.
HOW GOD LED ME
He led me to the piano and He gave me a song. Almost everyone is familiar with the words. It was the 23rd Psalm. The words came to me; In the presence of my enemies you anoint my head with love.
Psalm 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
So God can release us from tormenting thoughts. If the one gone can never apologize for the abuse, let it go. Ask the Lord to anoint you with love. He can and will do it. In our flesh we could say, I could never forgive them. God will set you free and anoint you with love even after they are gone if you just say, I let it go. I forgive them.
PRAYER: I choose to forgive (Name them) for the abuse given to me. I let them go. I let the tormenting thoughts of the horrible meanness go. Wash me free of it Lord. Anoint my head with the oil of love in the presence of this enemy. (Tormenting thoughts) in Jesus Name. AMEN!
CONFESSION: Living in the realm of God is what I am going to do. I pull from God’s mighty power as He gives me the ability to be free of this heavy burden. In the presence of my enemies, God anoints me with love. I confess love is flowing out of me like a river. Abusive spirits are made to flee from me. HALLELUJAH!
